What I've learned this week.

This week, we learned how to create digital stories, what to do in a conflict resolution and how to implement the use of modern technology in a classroom setting. I am looking forward to the experience, while assisting the community better themselves through technology. Being able to give back to the community gives me a sense of accomplishment.

Intern Roles

As a DOT intern/consultant, it is vital that we play our roles accordingly to each situation. In a school setting, we will empower teachers with the knowledge of technology, collaborate on how to implement it and to assist in executing it.
In a business environment, we will help guests on how to use the internet to search for jobs.

DOT training

The first day of training was very slow and boring. The topics covered were  the very basics of computer usage and terms. As we progress further in the week, the topics began to spark my interest. The introduction and tutorial of the Google Docs, podcast, vodcast, blogs, and the open source programs were all very entertaining and educational. What I liked best about this training is the use of interactive groups. This concept encourage interns to become active, enable interns to learn from one another, and promotes teamwork.

New Technology

Some people are fearful of change, while others embrace it. Which one are you?
